My dear friend Katrina got married in April and I threw her a bridal luncheon the day before her wedding. The theme was an English Tea, since it was on April 28, which happened to be Prince William and Kate’s wedding day. Katrina’s mom is also British, so it was perfect!
I did a post right after the luncheon, but I only had Blackberry pics to show. The Schultzes did an amazing job with the photography and were kind enough to post the party on their blog. I highly recommend them for wedding photography!! They are the best!
Lynette from The Bloom Room did the flowers in vintage teacups and teapots. She is my favorite florist in Charlotte!
Hope you enjoy the pics….

Me with Katrina
I hope everyone enjoyed the Royal Wedding this morning! I was up late last night preparing for a tea I was throwing today, so I had a chance to see some of it. Kate Middleton looked stunning!
One of my dear friends is getting married tomorrow in Charlotte, so I wanted to throw her a bridal luncheon at my home. Since today was the Royal Wedding and her mom is British, I thought it would be perfect to have a English themed tea party!!
I had a tent put up in my backyard patio and set up 2 round tables and a food table. My color scheme was light blue and pink, which was designed around some Cath Kidston napkins I ordered from England!

I’m sorry for the awful Blackberry pics but my camera died! Fortunately I had the amazing Cheyenne Schultz shoot the party, so I will post her pictures soon!

The Setup

Table Settings

I used lots of pink Peonies, Garden Roses, and Renoncules. I bought several vintage teacups and saucers to put flowers in. I also ordered some Cath Kidston cups to match the linens!

Close up of the Peonies

The teapots– Straight from England and filled with pink roses.

I found the same Cath Kidston fabric from a seller in China on Etsy. I had it made into a tablecloth for the food table.

Cascades of fruit, cheese platter, tea sandwiches, petite ham biscuits, chicken salad croissants, find sandwich wedges, butterscotch scones with lemon curd, brownies, cookies, white chocolate raspberry bars, eclairs, turtle brownies, yogurt pretzels, cheesecake lollipops, chocolate covered strawberries, Norman Love assorted chocolates, tea sugar cookies and custom M&Ms!

My guest of honor Katrina. I made a special bridal tea hat for her.

Cute girls in their tea hats!

All the beautiful flowers are sitting on my coffee table!

I’m saving these for a photoshoot of my home on Monday.

I potted some flowers on my deck for the occasion.

It’s starting to look a lot like spring!
